Description: "Ripe pear and Persian melon are laced with lime and mint on a fetching nose and a luscious, brightly juicy, glossy palate. The superbly sustained finish features both cooling and invigoratingly nippy green herbal accents as well as subtly glowing piquancy and mouthwatering salinity." - Vinous
"The 2017 Laurentiuslay Spätlese is still reductive but indicates concentrated fruit with some spicy and nutty notes from the fuder and perhaps some percentage of botrytis. Lush and piquant on the palate, this Spätlese is concentrated, textured and still sweet but salty and vital on the finish and needs 10 to 20 years to unfold all its talents. The wine has a firm structure and even some tannins, swinging acidity and remarkable concentration, but it needs time. Lemon and grapefruit or blood orange flavors are found in the aftertaste." - Wine Advocate
